I am a tent camper and really enjoyed my stay. It was a great experience and a really nice campground. It would have been completely peaceful if it wasn't for the ATVs and dirt bike riders who were completely disrespectful, tearing up the dirt, speeding past campsites, and generally being a nuisance as well as dust blowers. I tolerated it because that's what nice people do. But really they should be it banned from every campground in the country.

In any case, site 11 was perfect for me and on the upper loop. Parking there was completely wide and open. No problems parking there at all. I placed my tent in a small copse of trees and it was just heavenly. Road access to the campground is actually extremely easy. I have an all-wheel drive but even in a front wheel drive car, anyone would be fine as long as they go slow. Once you are past the entrance though, the drive paths to the campsites is extremely rutted and filled with rocks. You really do have to avoid those to avoid damage to your car. Just be careful and if you have to get out and move the rock out of the way lol.
Trip was end of July beginning of August so there was extreme fire danger, and naturally all fire restrictions were in place so I did not use the fire ring. But the fire ring is in fantastic shape just as I expected, and is in great condition. I used the grate on top simply for my camp stove and safety. Perfect setup. Picnic table was in good condition and the bear box was fully operational. I used both and had no problems whatsoever. Bear boxes are godsend in this part of the world. I did see a few Bear tracks one morning about 20 ft from my tent but if there was a bear going through the night before he or she left me alone.

In all, a great trip, a wonderful stay and I will stay again. Really enjoyed it and I think others will too. I do hope the rangers take my comments about the ATVs and the dirt bikes to heart. It's dangerous, and disruptive. Hopefully they can do more patrols.

Rough road in the campground, but pretty quiet and my kind of not overly developed site.

The site is perfect for a group of campers with individual tents. The rushing creek drowns out the snores of campmates and the common area is perfect for large group meals and gathering. The campground host kept the single toilet clean and fresh.

Nice location, but we didn’t hang around campground much. Not sure who the host was; seemed like various people in and out of the host site. Bathrooms out of TP occasionally. Generators running until midnight, next to host, so either the host didn’t care or wasn’t there. Overall, it’s meh and we’d likely not stay there again.

A really nice, quiet place; the downside is that people don't use the restrooms properly.

My wife came here for years as child, and we’ve since been taking our family for almost 30 years and have always loved our time at Boca. However, this visit was not nearly up to par. The camp host never once made contact with us, not even to verify our reservation, and especially not to monitor and control the noise that went on until after 1am. And the site for the host was over run with junk…huge plastic tubs and all kinds of big trash…looked like a junkyard, to be honest. The bathrooms were atrocious; bags of trash on the floors and swarms of flies , especially when you opened the commode, they just kept coming up for days to where we had to drive out of the springs to find one we could use. This was our first visit back after having missed the last three years due to health issues and my wife was looking forward to it more than anything, and although we still believe that Boca is a beautiful, peaceful place, we ended up leaving two paid days because we just couldn’t justify having to keep driving so far to use the restroom or deal with the upcoming crowd of new campers over the weekend that for sure were going to be a “party crowd”, that would have no host holding them to the noise rule. Not fair to families wi the kids who need to sleep before midnight. Not sure we will be coming back anytime soon, which is sad to say because my wife was raised coming here with her family every single weekend and we’ve made it ours and our extended families place to go. I pray these comments will be taken to heart and not as an “angry customer”, and that the issues mentioned are addressed and resolved. Thank you.
