What Guests Are Saying
Dimond O Campground offers spacious, clean sites nestled among trees, providing a peaceful atmosphere with ample amenities like clean bathrooms and friendly hosts. Many reviews highlight proximity to Yosemite, beautiful scenery, and a nearby creek for recreation. However, there are some concerns about limited potable water, occasional unpleasant odors, and noise from generators; overall, visitors often express a desire to return.

Great campground. The campground owners' generator was a bit loud at night/in the morning, but we were far enough away that it wasn't too big of a problem - would hate to be in the sites right next to them though!
Wish there was a place to wash dishes, but I get that it's sort of a "semi-backcountry" experience so they only have water spigots and you have to wash your own dishes elsewhere.
Visit Hetch Hetchy while you're there, even if you just drive up and walk the dam, it's worth checking out! The campground is so close to it, would be a shame if you missed it.

Love this remote camping area, scenic quiet and just plain beautiful. The road coming in is a little rough and narrow in spots, but we had no problems with the 31" RV. We also had family camping with us in a 36" RV with no issues on the road. Lots of local hiking trails and Hetch Hetchy is a must see. The falls this year are spectacular. Walking sticks highly recommend for Hetch Hetchy. Yosemite Valley is about a 30 minute drive (when the road reopens). The small town of Groveland is place to hit...make sure you check out the ice cream store (the Grove Mercantile) and I hear that Two Guys Pizza Pies is fantastic.

Beautiful campground. The road in is rough, but sites are well maintained. Pit toilets, bear boxes, fire pits, tables, tent pads and driveways were all top notch.

Amazing campsite and hosts! The park entrance to Yosemite was closed because of the weather so it was a far drive to the open entrance (3.hrs). There were so many places and hikes to explore nearby the campground. They were just as amazing as Yosemite Valley. The host Jenny provided my boyfriend and I a tent because we had forgot our tent poles. The bathrooms were very clean as well as the sites and the river was very close by. I will definitely be back!

This was our second stay at Diamond O campground (last time was 10 years ago). The campground was very clean from the campsite to the restrooms. The hosts were friendly and checked in with us periodically. We will be returning again, hopefully sooner this time.

Camp host was extremely friendly and helpful. The site by the stream was incredibly beautiful. We loved it there.

This site has a raised tent pad and is approximately 24" above the ground. If your tent opening is on that side, there's a significant step up to take, as there's no stairs for you. This space gets lots of sun from around 9AM to 5PM.

This is a good space for a trailer and truck. Our 26' trailer and 20' truck fit with room to spare. No obstructions for the slides or your flag pole. Trees are too tall for your satellite. The tent pad is large and level with the ground around it. 17 and 18 are great spots to get together. We've been camping here nearly 25 years and this is the first time we had cell service. It was 1 bar on Verizon, but enough to text or a simple internet search.
