Not was nice I’m peaceful for the most part. But you can hear the construction going on or the heavy machinery going on. The noice sounded very similar to World of Wars movie. Would still go back though.

The setting is absolutely incredible.
I love the tall trees.
You gotta watch out for the bears though.
The campground host was extremely helpful and very fun.
I wish everyone didn't have to have a campfire, especially when there is a wild fire raging only a few miles away.
The bathrooms were adequate but I wish they could have been a little more up to date.

Campsite was in the side of a hill with NO level ground for pitching a tent. Loud party group next door. Not the "Yosemite" experience we were hoping for!

The campsites were too close to each other, our spot's ground had not enough flat surface and was just off the main path and hard to stay. The restrooms were not clean

I do love this campground. Its clean and peaceful. There are a few campsites that are not level so if you sleep in your car , this could be an issue.

Site 88 was great for our rooftop tent setup. Grounds were leveled and less than 50 ft to the gray water station/ bathrooms.

Site 78 was small enough for rooftop tent setup, I would not recommend large trailers due the narrow drive thru pull in. This site requires a 5 minute walk to the bathroom.

Highway access
Hodgdon Meadow Campground is accessible via Highway 120, which is located 1/2 mile from the Big Oak Flat Entrance Station into Yosemite National Park. It can also be reached by Highway 41 and Highway 140, which connect to the park from the south.
