What Guests Are Saying
Hodgdon Meadow Campground is a clean, well-maintained facility with friendly staff and a peaceful atmosphere, making it an excellent base for exploring Yosemite. Many campers appreciated the beautiful natural surroundings and the cleanliness of the restrooms. However, some sites are sloped and close together, which might impact comfort and privacy for certain visitors. Overall, it’s a highly recommended spot for campers looking to enjoy the beauty of Yosemite.

A ways away from the valley, which is good from our perspective. Some nice hiking nearby. Great camp sites.

It was a great clean place, but payment system was internet base or cash. We got there late and didn’t have cash. There was no reception to pay online. Even though it was written on a post that it was possible to pay offline, it was not. We camped there and expected to get help the day after by the camp host as it was the case for many other campgrounds in the area we stayed in before. Suprisingly in the morning while we were still sleeping in our tent we found ourselves in a situation that a park ranger was shouting at our tent asking we had to come out. I opened the tent’s zipper and faced a gun carrying police officer aiming his torch light to my face talking aggrecively asking for my ID and started asking questions from me and my partner. I explained the situation but still he was behaving like he was talking to criminals asking my partner if there was any restriction on her driving licence. She answered no but he could double check it. He said your face does not like those kind of people! I am not sure what was that answer, whatever it was it was not a professional police work. The whole conversation was odd and unfriendly and disturbing with unprofessional manner in a situation that was not necessary for him to even do police work. BTW I should mention that there was not any camp host or burning wood available to buy and for almost 200 campground there was just one toilet and drinking water faucet availabe far from many campgrounds. Anyway we enjoyed our stay and the campground and Yosemite was beautiful as always!

The rangers were friendly, the campsite (32) was in such a good spot, and having flushable toilets was so nice. Not a bad drive from everything in the rest of the park. Crane Flat gas station was only 8 miles away. Overall excellent time and will re-book in the future!

One of the best places to camp near Yosemite. Very well organised and maintained. Will surely recommend to go for a camping.

Facilities are great, but the sites are pretty much on top of each other, so if you have loud neighbors it can be a little rough

Very nice staff. They were able to find us a place to sleep for three nights, even though we were supposed to move to another place after the first night according to the reservation.
