We enjoyed our campsite at Dimond O campground. I especially liked how they had a designated area for our tent. It was rock free and flat. In addition, the manager/camp supervisor was extremely helpful. He introduced himself when we arrived and offered his assistance. Our car's battery needed a jump and he assisted us.

My only suggestion would be to add a sink to the restrooms. There wasn't a spot to wash our hands after using the restrooms.

Stayed in site 24/25 along the creek loop. Overall camp was quiet in evenings except the one night someone let their carhorn blare for 10 minutes in the middle of the night. Site was right next to the trail down to the creek which was a short couple minute walk. It was nice hearing the sound of the water running at night. There was another trail down to the creek by the bathrooms that was a little longer but I liked the creek over there better.

The site was a double site so it had room for 2 large tents (one on each side). and big parking area. Our tent was 16' x 10' and fit. It was all very flat. There were 2 bear boxes which easily could have fit multiple coolers in each. The bathrooms were cleaned each day so were as clean as you could expect for no flush toilets. No sinks. Just a couple water spigots spaced throughout camp.

No issues with bears but heard there haven't been issues in the area since the rim fire. We were allowed fires in the firepit. Fire wood could be purchased from either of 2 camp managers on site for $8. Only a few wasps around when we started cooking but very manageable compared to another campsite I visited recently. Didnt feel the need to setup the mesh tent we brought.

Located 15 minutes from Big Oak Yosemite gate or about an hour to Yosemite Valley. Closer to Hetch Hetchy gate but didn't head that way ourselves.

This campground is fantastic! Sure, you’re about an hour’s drive (with some entry station traffic) to Yosemite’s Tioga wilderness and Valley attractions, but driving three miles down the access road to the campground just adds to how special this place is.

It’s secluded, away from road noise and the river’s flow and swimming hole is a very short stroll away- some sites have the river right behind them. Not to mention that the camp hosts are fabulous. There’s a lot of attention that goes into keeping the grounds well kept and clean.

We also appreciated being only three miles away from Hetch Hetchy, too. It is a part of Yosemite that does not receive many visitor’s and to take in what used to be there (It was John Muir’s favorite valley), is a trip in itself.

Treat yourself and stay at Dimond O, you won’t regret it!

Quiet and well maintained park. Camp host, Robert, is very friendly. Evergreen road leading into the park is bumpy, rough, and a little narrow for big rig and tow. But very doable and wouldn’t let it stop me from using again. Mature redwoods throughout the campground, free range cows wonder through, cowbells in the distance at night. Very peaceful. No cell service. Dump and refill water at Yosemite Lakes campground, about two miles down hey 120 from Evergreen rd turnoff.

Nice clean lil place with legit metal food boxes to keep safe from bears and pre-set spots set your tent without needing to sweep. Also the managers on site are a sweet couple that help.
