I cannot say enough good things about the Diamond O camp ground! It is an easy drive to Yosemite NP entrance and nestled in the gorgeous Stanislaus National Forest. The river at the campsite is calm and incredibly clean and it was nice and quiet at night. It does get very cold at night so bring something to stay warm.
I wanted to highlight how amazing the hospitality of our camp ground managers are. They drove around daily with checks on how we were, great directions and suggestions, and just so warm and hospitable. Would stay here again just for that part!

Perfect place to stay to enjoy Yosemite. Much less crowded than the park itself, but close enough to not spend too much extra time driving.

Quiet, well-maintained site.
Pavement could be a tad more leveled to increase RV comfort.

Low overhanging trees make negotiating the park difficult for any vehicle over 10’. Would be great if the roads and sites were trimmed to allow RVs that can be 14’ tall transverse the park without damage.
The road in is quite rough and it’s 5.6 mi of it.

The campsite was extremely well maintained. The bathrooms were always spotless, and the camp managers were very kind. We had a wonderful stay here and would highly recommend it. We'd love to come back!

The camp hosts were helpful and welcoming. The pit toilets were kept very clean and stocked with toilet paper and hand sanitizer. Campgrounds were quiet.

Joe and Kelly are great camp hosts. Not only do they keep a clean and orderly campground, they are also very nice and helpful. We had an issue with our tongue jack and they helped us with trying to fix it and viable options. They went above and beyond. Not all campgrounds are like this and hopefully they’ll be here next year.

Campground is beautiful and a short trail to the river from campsite 16. Bathrooms were decent. My only complaint is there is very limited water available. The majority of the water spickets did not work and we had to walk pretty far to access running water to wash hands, rinse dishes etc.
