About Pines Stanislaus
Pines Campground is conveniently located, just 15 mi from the Yosemite National Park boundary in northern California. It is an ideal base camp for visitors to explore not only Yosemite, but also the fantastic wilderness areas within Stanislaus National Forest, including Carson-Iceberg, Emigrant and Mokelumne Wildernesses. Pets are welcome, but must be compliant with Tuolumne County leash laws.

Host didn’t mark out campsite as reserved so it was occupied when I arrived. Also there was a very loud party multiple nights, well past midnight each night, and the host never told them to be quiet. Campsite in general not very well kept or in a nice area.

Yes, it's warmer here than at the higher elevation campsites, but the night we were there it was uncrowded and quiet. I think there was only one family camping there besides us. Once the sun went to rest and the stars came out, it cooled off too.

The time we spent in forest was a nourishing experience. Our campsite set a reasonable driving distance to Yosemite Valley. Our campsite was large enough to spread out. Our camp host, Carrie, was extremely helpful.

This is the worst of the 60 federal campgrounds I’ve stayed in in the past 3 months. Campsites are small and crowded together. The camp Host started his very loud generator before 7:30 am. My campsite description online did not match my actual campsite. Description said it could fit a 38 ft vehicle while it was actually a tiny walk-in campsite sandwiched between two paved roads.
