What Guests Are Saying

Joshua Tree Lake RV and Campground offers a wonderful experience with clean, updated restrooms and showers, spacious sites with ample shade, and friendly staff. The campground is close to attractions like the Transmission Sculpture and Joshua Tree National Park, making it a great base for exploration. While there are occasional issues with restroom supplies and events extending past quiet hours, the overall ambiance, starry skies, and unique artwork create a charming desert getaway.

We love this place! You can choose from full hookups, mini-cabins, and large areas for dry camping with a table and nearby portable bathrooms. We picked a full hookup site, all the full sites were separated by oleander hedges for excellent privacy. Skies were pretty dark so we got our our telescope. The covered campground office complex is next to.a small 1-acre lake. A flock of Mallard Ducks lives here. Pets welcome on leash. Very friendly and helpful staff. Located 5 miles from the town of Joshua Tree where you can shop. Great coffee at Joshua Tree Coffee Company, next door is SkyHigh Pies. Easy access to Joshua Tree National Park. Highly recommend Joshua Tree Lake RV Park.

We've been here a couple times. We've really enjoyed our time here both times. The "lake" is more like a large duck pond, but it's cute. The staff are also very nice. The views of the stars are to die for.

As for the downsides, both times we went, there was an event happening until an hour after lights out, which for us was fine, but could be frustrating for some. The restrooms are often missing items (soap, paper towels, etc.) so that can be a bit challenging to navigate if you're unprepared.

Overall, though, we enjoy it. It's a nice place to go that is close to home, great for stargazers, and people who enjoy the desert.

This is a great RV park! The people who work here are incredibly friendly. The office is adorable, and they even sell Yerba! The RV sites are all pull-through, and most have wonderful privacy shrubs on each side of your rig. The sites are spacious and include a picnic table and fire pit. All of the hookups worked properly during our stay.

The grounds are beautiful and filled with unique artwork. The duck pond is especially cute. The neighboring Joshua Tree Music Festival grounds look amazing as well—I’d love to visit during a festival someday.

The sites are fairly level, and you’re close to Yucca Valley for everyday shopping. Joshua Tree also has some cute shops to explore. Joshua Tree National Park is just minutes away, and you can also visit the ‘Transmission’ sculpture by Daniel Popper. It’s an absolute favorite of mine, so having it nearby was a very pleasant surprise.

We had a wonderful experience at this campground! We tent camped here in the desert! It was beautiful. The camp host family was precious and very attentive. We felt super safe. The showers were super clean! Grateful for this gem!

Stay here! Close to Transmission Scupture and Noah Purifoy Outdoor Desert Art Museum and a quick drive to Pioneertown.

Found this place from an online recommendation someone suggested if nearby campgrounds get filled in Joshua Tree. This place is amazing.

Restrooms are updated and clean. The showers are updated and clean. I did tent camping. Most sites have big trees that provide ample shade. At some tent sites, you can even see the “Transmission Sculpture” which is pretty cool. The wind picks up so be sure to secure your trash before leaving and anything that could blow away (chairs, water bottles, etc.).

There’s security here which is a relief knowing you’re safe and gated in. The staff is friendly and nice. Definitely would stay again!
