What Guests Are Saying
Fairview Campground offers a beautiful setting next to the Kern River, with clean facilities and friendly camp hosts. Many campers enjoyed the spacious sites and proximity to fishing and swimming, as well as the convenience of nearby amenities like McNally's restaurant. While some noted issues with noise and wasps, overall experiences were positive, with many guests planning to return.

Beautiful campsite! We stayed close to the river which had SO much water rushing by right now. It was beautiful and just a little scary. There’s not a ton of shade so bring a canopy or something of the like if you can!

We love the place but not enough shade or trees.

Beautiful clean campground where you can easily walk to the general store for more supplies. Site 11 was great for tent camping! Very large. Site 12 for an RV was not optimal. I would not book site 12 again.

We have a few remarks:
- our spot, which we reserved a few months ago was occupied. The camping host made a mistake by giving the other people this spot.
- there was a guy named Aaron, who told us he was family of the host, that was very intrusive and kept invading our personal space trying to manage things with no purpose. He had no name tag or campground clothing.
- we went on a hike and took the RV with us. We left the chairs and table at our spot, like all the other guests, and after 3 hours we came back and our stuff was gone.
Nobody had seen anything..
Overall this gave us an unsafe feeling at this campground.

The picnic table at 27C was a broken pile of pieces and unusable. The campground was a bit thrashed. The host seemed like a nice guy, but I've been camping there for years and was bummed out that the place was looking pretty rough.

The river was flowing at an all time high, May 2023. While we were not able to enjoy the water we did enjoy the endless natural noise machine. The camp bathrooms are just pit toilets but fairly clean. The camp host often forgets to refill the toilet paper so be prepared to supply your own.

Very clean and well maintained. Host was present and very helpful. Patrolled during a flash flood warning late one evening. Excellent

Had a great time, great place to camp. Found the best site in the camp ground. I would recommend that you bring your own toilet paper with you. 1 ply does not work well, it's rough.
