Beautiful campsite! We stayed close to the river which had SO much water rushing by right now. It was beautiful and just a little scary. There’s not a ton of shade so bring a canopy or something of the like if you can!

Watch out for the potholes when turning into Fairview Campground and while in there. Worst potholes ever this year.

For 25 years I been coming to Fairview Camp Ground for the pass several years I have complained about the potholes on the drive entrance and in the campsites. this year probably had the worst potholes ever and could damage my vehicle. The rest rooms were clean but 1 weekend there was NO paper in the men’s restroom for 2 days.

The bad first: Neighbor playing loud music - didn't play it past 10:00 (good).although it made the evening unpleasant. We rented three tent spots. One of the spots must've been in the midst of repair as the picnic bench was unusable - we got by with just two benches so it was OK.
The good: The restrooms were clean. Large-ish community area in the center of the loop with courteous folks playing games.
The campground is a ways up the road from Kernville but there is general store, burger place, and restaurant nearby. I recommend the campground.

Pit toilets were fairly clean of trash and had ample toilet paper available, but had not had pit’s cleaned out in some time and the odor and flies were starting to be bothersome smell wafting at campsite 😵‍💫
Noise level was not managed by host manager… one particular camp site had music blaring all day and well after dark. I don’t know what they used to power those speakers but it was like we were at a concert instead of relaxing next to the River trying to enjoy nature
Would stay here again if I could be certain that the noise level was within reasonable decibels

Been coming to fair and it’s awesome. The only 2 things that could been done to make it better if the camp host made sure there was toilet paper stocked and add WI-FI
