What Guests Are Saying

Juanita Lake Campground is a beautiful, serene spot perfect for family gatherings and outdoor activities like kayaking and fishing. Many campers appreciate the spacious, well-kept sites and stunning scenery, although some have noted issues with the lack of potable water and campground oversight. While the road to the campground can be challenging and insect presence can be bothersome, overall, visitors enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and plan to return.

We had a group of 10 families. We could not reserve the group site this time as it was unavailable. We reserved 10 or eleven sites and we had a blast. The kids were all happy and rode bicycles, they swam and jumped off the dock not to mention the love fishing. We also played lots of games. We all had an absolutely amazing time. Great place for family reunions or church groups like ours. Lots of bonding and special memories.

No water source, no camp host or someone monitoring the camp ground. A lot of drive thru people parking in camp sites during the day to party.

This is a make reservations only lake and when we showed up someone took it upon themselves to just show us and make there self at home in our reserved spot. The last time we were there there was a camp host and everything was nice and peaceful. This time there was no camp host and it was just a free for all. We still intend to come to this camp site, but if it continues, it’s a shame and we will probably find a different place.

Recreation.gov double-booked our site. The other party arrive a day before us so had already occupied the site. They had valid reservation as did we. We booked on-line five months in advance. They booked on-line one month in advance for two nights but had to take different sites for the two nights since we already had the second night in the site they preferred. They called Recreation.gov to see if they could get their second night without changing sites. Apparently, whoever they talked to, booked them in the site we already had reserved and sent them an updated confirmation. There were no sites left in the campground, since it was Memorial Day, except the site the second party was originally reserved in. But we could not confirm that a third party had not subsequently booked that site and would arrive later to claim it. We took the site for the night but did not set up and settle in since we did not have a valid reservation for that site. We left disappointed and early the next morning, abandoning our second night in our preferred/reserved site since the party occupying it was not obliged to depart until noon.
