We chose our site (54) because it was the only one left, but I'd recommend going farther from the road to minimize road noise overnight. There were also a lot of RVs in this campground. We still had a wonderful experience, but tent-camping purists may want to look elsewhere. For us, this was a winner because of: (1) the proximity to June Lake Loop, Ansel Adams Wilderness (recommend Parker Lake hike -- very close by), Yosemite and Mammoth Lakes, (2) the pack outfitter across the street meant we could see horses throughout our visit, (3) deer were everywhere!, (4) we were able to SUP on Silver Lake, (5) bathrooms were clean; showers were hot and clean, (6) sites were spacious.

This is a nice campground that is very crowded with very different campsites. The sites farthest away from the lake are in the open with no privacy and the ones closest to the lake are great. We didn't use any of the facilities so I can't comment. There are potable water connections spaced throughout the campground and their locations are shown as a water glass symbol on the map. We had a great site (Site 24) which afforded us some privacy and access to the lake.
