We were part of a large group claiming 8 campsites in close proximity to one another. Campsites were clean upon arrival as hosts came out with blowers to remove pine needles. Hosts were very helpful in accommodating a last minute change in campsite that was too small for one of our arriving party members.

Overall this is a great campground. Beautiful location that is well maintained. The spots are spread out nicely w/ a good amount of space between them. Also, the hosts were very pleasant & attentive.

Love the campground been going there for years but the new campground host makes the campground terrible... Complains about everything you do..... one tire in the dirt wants you move we are going to hurt the dirt ect. ect . ect all of use are looking at other campgrounds if he comes back.......... Went to the forest station twice to complain about him and they have done NOTHING for the last three years. He has come by complaining smells of liquor, tried to get into a fist fight with my nephew. We grew up in that campground for the 40 years and this is what it has become

the campground was very clean and well kept. the sites are far enough away from each other so you don't feel like you are camping in a subdivision. the scenery is beautiful.

We Love fowlers and the Mc Cloud river. We have gone every year the last 2 weeks of Aug.for at least 10 yrs. The last 4 years have been getting out of control. A very large group of men 40 or so in at least 5 sites take over and are drunk loud screaming profanities all day and night this past year it went on four days. Families leave their sites, they scare small children. This year the had a manican of a womans body with a funnel for a head and a hose coming out, well you can imagine.drinking out of it. The camp hosts should not have to put up with this, they are not law enforcement. I finally called the county sheriff, it was that out of control!!! The federal forrest service law inforcement needs to fix this before someonr gets injured.

Fowlers is probably my favorite campground ever. It’s wonderful to be near the small town of McLeod on the east slope of Mount Shasta and wake up to short hikes of three amazing waterfalls and great mountain bike trails. There is excellent fishing and swimming holes too!

It's a nice campground overall, but our campsite wasn't the best. We were in campsite 27 - the map doesn't show it, but there's actually a multi-use path that goes along the river, so the campsite ends up awkwardly sandwiched between the road and the path. The river is very lovely.

The campgrounds and toilets were clean. Camp hosts were friendly. The McCloud River and falls were just beautiful, and we enjoyed hiking all around the local area. Highly recommend.
