Consistently one of our favorite places to stay. Hiking is great, the crowds on the weekend were the only drawback at both the lower and middle falls. Quiet at night, friendly camp ground hosts.

The photo of the site 38/39 is misleading. The only flat place to put up a small tent was next to the asphalt for parking the car, which had absolutely no shade. It was so hot in the sun I was unable to touch the tent poles! Decided to leave . I was not able to cancel the second night because there was no internet connection, so I lost out on $68.00.

Small campground of 39 sites that are spaced well apart, level and well-maintained with a picnic table, fire ring, bear box, BBQ grill, and space for tent campers.
I'm not skilled at backing up my 27' travel trailer without a spotter, and I was quite easily able to back into site #30B that was just a few yards from the McCloud River.
An easy half a mile walk takes you to the Middle Falls. You can either walk or drive to the scenic Upper and Lower Falls too.
There's always that ONE camper that runs his/her generator for 10 hours a day and the other one that plays loud music until quiet hours, but I can't hold that against the campground. There was a slight odor wafting from the nearby restroom, but overall, I'd definitely recommend staying here. It's a great base camp for exploring the town of Mt. Shasta, Lake Siskiyou, Faery Falls, and Cascade Lake.

Great! Enough cell phone reception with Verizon and AT&T, lots of trees for shade, close to the falls, bathrooms are kept pretty clean, water available, and food lockers. Camp hosts were great. Would come back

We love camping at fowlers campground! This is the only place my husband wants to go. He loves fishing at lower Mcloud falls . Waterfalls are a short hike from the campground and it’s so beautiful. There are places where the kids can play in the water and they love it. The deer are very friendly and my granddaughter was able to touch one briefly. The only thing that made me a little nervous was hearing the bears at night. They do have bear lockers and I’m so glad they did. Camp host was very friendly too. Can’t wait until next year.
