What Guests Are Saying
Butte Lake Campground offers a beautiful, quiet location with clean facilities, access to hiking trails, and a serene atmosphere surrounded by nature. Many visitors enjoyed the stunning views, wildlife interactions, and recreational options like kayaking and swimming. Super cool rocks, gorgeous lake, nice facilities, tall trees, and conveniently located close to Cinder Cone. Not a ton of privacy, but adequate space between sites. No service! So look up your reservation and campsite # before you go down the long gravel road!

Nice remote campground - we were in a tent in early June. Restrooms were clean and convenient for us. We were on the edge of the campground and had a small bear wandering around the outside one afternoon - no issues with the bear in campground that I know of. They have bear boxes to keep your gear and coolers in. Butte Lake was nice and trails were nice. Generally quiet campground - had a group of oy Scouts that were in a different area - a bit noisy during the day but they seemed to be having fun and did not bother us. Trail to Cinder Cone leaves from right by the lake.

Super dusty when vehicles speed. We got hit with several clouds of dust. Otherwise, a nice site with some shade and some distance between sites. I liked the driveway half loop. Easy to pull in and out.
