Butte Lake Campground offers a beautiful, quiet location with clean facilities, access to hiking trails, and a serene atmosphere surrounded by nature. Many visitors enjoyed the stunning views, wildlife interactions, and recreational options like kayaking and swimming. Cinder cone trail takes off from right here. Which is grueling but incredibly rewarding. The campground is super quiet. I went early Oct and it was definitely mega cold at night. Probably close to freezing so just be prepared for that!

The dirt road was impassable. Had to turn around and wasn’t able to get to the campground. Called to get a refund but haven’t heard back from anyone yet.

The campground is lovely ... we went in the off season so there were no crowds. We enjoyed the hike up Cinder Cone and the views of Butte Lake.

Fantastic campsite. Tons of trees and a nice lake. Flush toilets and sinks. Lots of space. However be warned, unpaved road to get there and absolutely no cell phone service.
