Online only reservations need to be communicated BEFORE drivers leave cell coverage. Showing up at the campground with plenty of spaces but no way to know what’s available or the ability to reserve on site when there’s no cell coverage is a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

Spacious site. I stayed here for the proximity to the Cinder Cone trailhead and Butte & Bathtub Lake trailhead, which was great.

The campsite was clean and easy to navigate to. A great way to camp prior to exploring Butte Lake or hiking to either East Prospect Peak or the Cindor Cone. Only negative was that the shower facilities by Butte Lake were out of order.

Great campsite, plenty of room between the campsites so not bothered by the neighbors. The close toilets were closed so we had to walk to the biggest one but not too much of a bother. A 8/10 clearly. Would be a 10 if it weren’t so far from the other stuff to see in Lassen and if it had showers but really really nice place to stay . Loved it.

Campsite was easy to get to. Close to great hikes and a beautiful lake.
Only drawback was folks driving fast and kicking up dust everywhere.
Also I would recommend you get a pass for the park before you arrive as there is no cell service at the campsite.

This is our first time staying at this campground. We stayed in the B-loop and were happy with how spacious each site was. The flush toilets were cleaned on a daily basis. All of the other campers were courteous of the quiet hours. I would come back to this campground with my family!

Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
