Site C29 is a drive through site that's fairly unlevel if that is important. There is a lot of space for tents and is mostly shaded. The park did not appear to have a campground host or much Ranger supervision. The results of this included a number of dogs off a leash and sites with more than the allowed allotment of vehicles, tents and people. The camp store was within easy walking distance, and it had a laundry, showers and some prepared food. The visitor center near the campground was informative. There was a newer larger visitor center on the other side of the park. The signage for self-registration should be changed if they are going to stay with on-line as it is confusing to visitors.

Came in mid October- beautiful weather, few crowds. Was able to get up around 8:30 am, drive to Bumpass Hell parking lot (about 25 miles), and was the third car there (was told this is one of the most crowded parking areas). It was wonderful.

Loved our campsite and the clean restroom facilities... the only complaint would be that the office was closed when we arrived and we were unable to purchase firewood - so plan ahead!!!

Campground was very clean - restrooms were cleaned daily and well stocked, only complaint was that there was no way to dry hands after washing them in the restrooms - no dryers or paper towels. Camp store was well stocked, even though it was the end of the season - staff was helpful and cheerful! Walk around Manzanita Lake was lovely.

Park store staff is as helpful when we needed to make an online reservation but didn’t have personal coverage. Campsites were lovely. Had limited time, but enjoyed hiking around Manzanita Lake and the drive through the park was spectacular. Sad to see all the fire damage though.
