Positives: ample-sized site, lots of space. Proximity to the lake trail, which is a real plus. Proximity to the camp store, which had a nice selection of useful and fun things. Beautiful grounds. Plenty of restrooms, water, and trash containers.
Negatives: the noisiest campground I have ever stayed at. Yes, it was very populated. But were there any enforced quiet hours?! Not on the night we stayed there!

We had two adjacent sites and there was ample space to pitch tents. Did not feel too close to our neighbors. Short walk to a gorgeous meadow where we could see the beautiful night sky.

4th time at Manzanita Lake and the campsites are always great! Roomy & well maintained. However, when it was time to check in at 1pm, there were still people at our campsite. I went to speak with the camp host who was unhelpful & rude. Her exact words were, “Tent campers don’t manage there time well so give them a chance.” First time experiencing a rude camp host at Manzanita Lake.

Beautiful and heavily forested, very well maintained campground. Easy walk to the gorgeous lake. Birds, squirrels, chipmunks…. We had two sites with family B-4 and B-6, both had plenty of space. Camp Store had nice souvenirs, and a food counter with coffee and soft serve. Would for sure stay here again and again.

One of the least populated parks I've been to but then, it was also seniors' September. Quiet trails at higher elevations and plenty of geological history. Didn't find an NP humor embedded anywhere.

Campground is nice. However there’s no cell or WiFi service so be sure to print your reservation information before you arrive. Also, there’s no indication of where you can get water and the staff at the store don’t know anything about the campground. You can find water at the dump station but there’s no signs that make it obvious. There are a few water spigots around the campground but they are not indicated on the map, you just have to look for them. Some are difficult to reach from the road, it’s better to go to the dump station.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
