The lake was beautiful and it was fun renting kayaks, lots of nearby sights to see and hiking etc. The site was nice, the bathrooms were clean, and the price was reasonable

This campsite is fantastic! The facilities, including restrooms, were maintained and stayed cleaned, and we liked having the main camper store close by. There were kayak and paddleboard rentals at Manzanita Lake that were very accessible and easy to rent.

This was our first time in Lassen - what an amazing experience this was! The campground was nice - nothing special but the convenience store nearby was really good! The Manzanita lake is very picturesque but the real gem is the Butte Lake next to the Cinder Cone. The road to there is extremely uneven and dusty - but absolutely worth the drive - to hike the amazing Cinder Cone and kayak in crystal clear lake of fresh water. Also, we drove through the park and did a hike to the Kings Waterfalls (or smth like that) - pure wilderness with mountain creek. And the frozen Lake Helen was absolutely stunning. So, the Manzanita Lake campground itself was very good but other places in the park are mind blowing. It feels like an extremely underrated place compared to Tahoe or Yosemite.

I stayed at the Manzanita Lake campground for one night and had a great experience. The camp is large, but each site is spacious. The store/cafe was very handy and the soft serve was a nice touch. There were plenty of bathrooms and water fill stations. There are a handful of small hikes nearby, as well as canoe/kayak/SUP rentals. I did a one hour kayak rental and had so much fun. Would recommend!

Manzanita Lake is a lovely campground and great sites. We felt very much like we were in a natural setting with beautiful surroundings.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
