What Guests Are Saying
Putah Canyon Campground offers a fantastic location near Lake Berryessa, ideal for summer activities like kayaking and fishing. Campers appreciate the friendly staff and clean facilities, including well-maintained port-a-potties, though some suggest improvements are needed. While some sites are tight and noise can be an issue, many guests have enjoyed their experiences, citing the beautiful scenery and family-friendly atmosphere as highlights.

I know we are in nature and there are going to be animals and little critters but there is a difference between nature and infestation. That was unbearable dealing with so many ground squirrels invading our sites. The photos of the sites should be updated. the sites we rented looked well shaded in the photo but when we got there it was a different story sun all day on 118. We ended up leaving early then expected due to conditions

A fairly busy, family positive campground. Lots of big groups and quiet hours aren’t really enforced (had other camps playing loud music and setting off airhorns at 11pm/12am and others starting volleyball games at literally 5am). The lake is beautiful and the campsites are good sized and well maintained. Port-a-potties only, but they’re clean and well kept. Dog friendly and friendly people overall.

I wish I could use my small barbecue grill that I took with me. However, I understand because of the extreme heat, this was prevented.

The ground squirrels are out of control and cause damage to camping areas and personal property.

Awesome experience. We had a group of 15 and had a wonderful time. I arrived and was requesting specific sites. These sites were not available and I offered an alternative. It was amazing we were waterfront with some shade and flat space. The staff were especially accommodating to all of our requests and made our travels a great experience. This place is amazing, friendly, clean. Cant wait to return:)

Location is great. Launch facility is good. Staff very friendly. Restrooms where we camped were nasty. Thay only clean once a week on Thursday so all the weekend stuff is there. Picnic tables were warped in many places. I feel that the camping is ok but the value is low because of the lack of infrastructure for the price.

Group site was amazing! So much space for all the families and space for kids to run and play. Lake swimming steps sways from our tents was incredible!
The reason for the 4 star rating is because there were only portapotties available.

Stayed in campsite 85. 7 Adults and two children for our annual family camping trip. This was our first time at Lake Berryessa. Probably won't be back. The campground, site, facilities were fine. We were unprepared for the high power drag boats racing up and down the lake in front of the campground. They started at 7am and ran anytime the water was calm. Never ran out in the lake or along the far shore, always right outside the 5mph buoys. I think they were showing off for each other. Reminded me of cruise night showing off their rides, or hookers competing for business. An awful lot of posing and compensating for small.....
