Fiddle Creek is a crazy campground! Its a no-mans-land in many ways. The road noise is bad enough and broken bear boxes are common but rules are broken by too many people; washing dishes in the water spigots, noise after 10, a total parking free-for-all and trash beyond comprehension! Other than that, the area is spectacular and tolerating the mess is not really that bad when you have a great time at the river!

had a great two night stay. site 15 is off to the corner, with a private entrance to the river. the river was wonderful, only downside was lots of mosquitoes by the water in the shade and at the site in the evenings. the site was packed all weekend but our neighbors were really nice and the site was quiet and calm all weekend. the only issue is that we couldn’t figure out parking. the website says back in parking style but there is no designated parking for each site, only a parking lot. so we had to park as close as we could to unload and carry our her to the site and then move the car to the parking lot. there is also no ranger at the site, someone comes and goes to check in but she said she’s not based there and didn’t really know the area or the rules of the site.

Wonderful place if you have children within your camping group. The river is very clean. Water levels go as deep as a large adult. A 2 year old we had with us enjoyed swimming without us worry about the water taking him away. If you have kids with you, they will enjoy it.

Love this spot! So close to the river, and also the South Yuba River Bridge swimming spot. Wish there was more parking!
