What Guests Are Saying

Fiddle Creek offers a clean, well-maintained, and spacious campground that provides an intimate experience with nature, close to the beautiful river and swimming spots. Families enjoy great memories here, though parking can be challenging and some sites may feel crowded. Visitors should be prepared for mosquitoes at sunset and note the absence of potable water and campfires, but overall, the experience is positive with friendly service and clean facilities.

Out houses were clean. There was plenty of shade in our site but others were barren. The fire pits needs to replaced as embers leaked out of it and we had to stay on top of it.

It’s an amazing destination that I have returned to for more than 40 years. Unfortunately this year due to fires we had to cut it short. I did notice that the outhouses were not maintained well. I have never seen more spiders, bugs and dirt in many years.

We spent two nights at fiddle creek campground, right when the River fire started in 2021. After a first smoky night, we spent a wonderful day just splashing in the river with a 3, 5 and 9 year old. We never left the campground. Everyone felt safe in the river and had a blast throwing rocks, wading, reading, and looking at animals.
Because of the high fire risk we decided not to build a campfire. The vault toilets were not impeccably clean, but decent enough and never ran out of toilet paper. The folks changing reservation signs and cleaning the bathrooms were helpful and answered our questions about the fires. (We did not have any cell phone reception at the campground or nearby roads and relied on their info.) Most people on the campground were not wearing masks as the sites are spaciously set up, but some did not remember to keep their distance from our unvaccinated kids either. There were no rowdy groups or parties into the night, only the occasional car or truck in the night on the 49 and the wonderful sound of the river. We would visit again.
