Seems like a nice location. We had some trouble finding the swimming hole. The campsites are well spaced out. I'm leaving a fair review because we arrived to discover that our space, reserved a week prior, had not been marked as reserved, and instead rented to walk-in campers. We were unable to find a camp host or reach anyone at Recreation.gov. We found an overflow spot to camp in next to our site, so it worked out, but no thanks to whoever administers the site.

This is a truly beautiful area right near the gorgeous Yuba River boasting spacious campsites with access to basic amenities and some long driveways. It's generally well maintained and worked well for our purposes, a place to camp after rock crawling on Fordyce during the day. We knew there would be freeway noise and train noises, but it was louder than we expected and it roared all night long. I recommend ear plugs for a better night's sleep.

Had a great time! Yes, the freeway is a bit noisy, but the benefit of that, was that it allowed us to be able to chat and listen to music until very late into the night without disturbing our neighbors. The walk in sites are very spacious, with a campfire ring and a picnic table. BRING WASP TRAPS, they get a little invasive around any food. The swimming area is an absolute gem! It can get a little crowded, but everyone there was very friendly! Very much looking forward to coming back!

Very large camping spots, lots of room, amazing swimming holes. The only thing not so great the freeway noise but after a few days you just block it out, we had a great time.

  • Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.

    • Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
    • One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.

  • Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
