Close access to some amazing trails to alpine lakes. Nice swimming spot on river at campsite. Freeway noise kind of distracted from the beautiful setting though.

This is a nicely constructed campground but the warning that you can hear the freeway is an understatement. I-80 is elevated above the campground which sits in an amphitheater like bowl below. The freeway noise is Amplified, nonstop and deafening. There is also a lot of tree removal going on and we left the campground a day early because of noisy and dusty construction.

Beautiful creek access! Nice shady spots...some a little close. Enjoyed stay, safe, and good cell service. No camp host, but rangers visit quite often to oversee camp. Really close to off road access recreation. This is near freeway and train...some sites near power lines. By the way not for big campers/RVs; also be sure to check drive way length. No room for additional cars. Some campers parked onto camp landscape...not good camp etiquette. It's best to go some where else if you have a big group with many vehicles!!!

While we enjoyed our camping week, our campsite was raided by a bear and there were no bear boxes. The campsite was clean and enjoyable beyond that.
