Lovely campsite along the creek. Some of the other spots seemed very exposed to sun so pick carefully!

Salmon Creek is a great campground in the high Sierras. The campsites are spread out and there were plenty of water and bathrooms available. There is a bit of noise from the nearby road, but there's not a lot of late night traffic. There's a ton of lakes, hikes, and trails nearby. We were there in October and it's definitely pretty cold and the campground wasn't busy at all. Site 31 was a great option.

The camp grounds are always wonderful, and a great experience. Jack is the campground supervisor and maintenance worker and he is one of the easiest guys to get along with. Super helpful, and great with our kids and pets. I give this campground a 5 star every year we go!

We used site 31, it was a great site easily a 8/10. Using a tent to camp was easy to set up but the area was rocky making it hard to walk in the tent in some spots. The campground was very clean and easy to navigate. Bathrooms are clean for the most part. Jack the host was absolutely amazing. He was friendly and always checked on us. I look forward to seeing jack and using the site again next year.

We have been here for three summers now and it is absolutely the best camping spot you can choose. There are so many lakes within five minutes of the campground with all different views. We take our paddle boards and our dog and have a great time. Bassett’s is a must to stop for some ice cream, souvenirs, etc
The sites at the campground are large and have lots of private space in between your neighbors.

Salmon Creek campground is clean and most sites feel very private. The campground is also located close to several hikes, mountain lakes, and local stores. It is an amazing place to escape and connect with nature.

Jack, the camp host, was extremely helpful, especially since there was a discrepancy between campsites on recreation.gov and the actual campsites. Place was quiet, beautiful lakes in the area with plenty of biking, hiking, fishing, and fine restaurants

In accordance with standard industry practices, we will be assessing a $5 additional vehicle fee on the 'second vehicle' in each single family campsite, and on the 'third and fourth vehicle' in any double family campsite, provided these vehicles are not joined to the first vehicle by a hitch and towed onto the site. In the case of motorcycles, the first two are considered to be one vehicle and the third and fourth are also considered to be one vehicle. No additional vehicle fees are collected for bicycles. |
