I always enjoy this campground. Great native plants and critters to observe. This time I even got a nice welcome from the camp host and his dog. They were working right by my favorite site.

There is nothing wrong with the campsite I gave it three stars because of how open it is. There is plenty of space in this spot can fit many and large tents. It was very close to the road and there wasn’t much vegetation for privacy. Luckily we didn’t have any neighbors during this trip but if well did we wouldn’t have had any privacy. There is limited shading at this spot so bring canopy’s. This area is very dusty, cars, walking and dogs all kicked up dust. Overall there is nothing wrong with this site other than feeling exposed.

I really enjoyed the layout of spot. There was only one way in and one way out. It was surrounded by vegetation on all sides which gave us the feeling of security and privacy. The spot is a little small so large tents is not recommended. I’ve booked at this campground 3 times and I can say this was a more enjoyable spot than others. The only problem with the campground is that it is really dry and dusty so bring wipes. This site is tucked away between two other sites if we had neighbors they would’ve been extremely close. Fortunately we didn’t have neighbors so the experience was extremely peaceful. For those with small dogs and children be aware that packs of coyote frequent the area. Asleep in my tent I was awoke to a pack of howling coyotes that were a lot closer than I was comfortable with. But overall I rate this campsite very highly for the type of campground it is. Would rebook.

Our site was nice and shady. We stayed in mid-October 2024, and ants and what I think were gnats were still very active. There were no mosquitoes that time though. It got cold at night, in the upper 40s, so bringing a portable heater would help. The restrooms were okay and were maybe about 100 meters from our site. There is no sink but there's a faucet right in front of the restrooms. We brought soap, clorox wipes (to wipe the seat), a towel and a small trash bag for when we needed to go. They would run out of toilet paper towards the end of the day and the host doesn't stock it until the next day. You can walk or drive to get to the dump station. I believe it was at least 500 meters from our campsite. Our kids, 9, 5 and 2 yrs old, were playing with just about anything they see - sticks, rocks, dirt.

Campground is good. We had a good time. There was a noisy group who kept talking and laughing till about 5am. Heard another neighbor ask them to quiet down a few times, but they didn't really listen. Host not to be seen. We were there for two nights and never saw the host. Bathroom closest to us was not clean, but found good ones a little farther.
