Campground is good. We had a good time. There was a noisy group who kept talking and laughing till about 5am. Heard another neighbor ask them to quiet down a few times, but they didn't really listen. Host not to be seen. We were there for two nights and never saw the host. Bathroom closest to us was not clean, but found good ones a little farther.

I took my 11 year old daughter van camping for the first time. The good: beautiful clear skies for amazing stargazing, other friendly campers, plenty bathroom/toilets that were clean and well stocked, helpful camp host, and an easy campsite to navigate. The “bad”: red ants at almost all sites, and we had a loud group of campers across the way from us. Fortunately we found a site that didn't have ants that we were able to move to, and the loud campers turned off music and toned down their noise around 8pm. We will definitely be back to Oak Grove for kore stargazing or to watch a full moon rise.

It was overall a fun experience aside from being so close to a main road, we were on campsite 14 and it was pretty close to the restroom, it was kept clean and it felt safe. We did get some coyote visitors but other than that it was fun, would definitely go again.

Site 46 is easily the worst campsite on the grounds. Don’t believe the good reviews. There are no trees and no shade. It’s fenced off at the back so you can’t go anywhere. It’s downwind from the bathroom so you regularly smell everyone’s sh*t. I would never camp here again.

I would not reccomend this site to anyone. I’m unsure where all the positive reviews are coming from. I’m a solo camper with dogs so I like it when sites are well maintained so dogs don’t get bit more than normal. However, this site was very disappointing, I visited in June and was supposed to stay 2 nights but the sites were not kept up at all, some were even closed and looked a mess so I was there for only 1 night and left. Leaves just everywhere, no proper space to put the tent, they can’t properly call this a campsite and charge $38, should be free or way cheaper than that. Bathrooms were newer but tons of bugs (expected for summer weather). It’s also way too close to the road and my site was right next to a property so it did not feel like a true camping experience.
