Awesome views of the lake! Water was up high so getting out into the willows in the southern portion of the lake was a breeze.

We love coming to this campground in the spring for an easy weekend getaway. It’s excellent for birding. I’d give it 5 stars for the peaceful nature and visual spring beauty. Sadly though this last experience was cut short the day after arrival because the army core of engineers shut the campground down due to some electrical issues in one of the bathrooms and we were forced to move to the other campground on the other side of the lake.

I have an issue with the DAY USE / SEASON PASS machine in the parking lot. I couldn't find a CAMPING option, so I did the $10 day pass. It expired at midnight? So I got on line and spent another $20 through the website to camp... Kind of lame. Camp was nice. Very quiet. LOTS of bugs.

Campsite afforded a gorgeous view of the lake and surrounding hills and we watched the sunset. Great spot for watching songbirds and raptors and we really enjoyed the dawn chorus. Lake was pristine and fantastic for swimming.
There was plenty of room between sites and the campground was nice and quiet. Bathrooms and showers need maintenance but overall great experience.

Nice open places but the lake isn't the easiest to access. Beautiful sunsets!
