What Guests Are Saying
Orland Buttes offers a beautiful campground with stunning lake views, diverse campsite options, and excellent birdwatching opportunities. The friendly staff maintain a peaceful atmosphere, though the facilities, particularly the bathrooms, need improvement. Despite some challenges with campsite space and cleanliness, many visitors enjoy the serene environment and outdoor activities available in the area.

It seemed like the campsites hadn't had any spring work done weeds were super tall and covering the campsite, the water faucet was barely visible from the path and you had to walk through knee high weeds to get to it. This isn't what im use to with this site and it was very discouraging probably won't be back for a while.

While the environment at Orland Buttes at Black Butte Lake is beautiful, the restroom situation was atrocious. The men's room on our side was never open and the women's room was almost always closed. The other restroom, which one had to drive to if in a -- ahem -- hurry was closed much of the time, too.
The one nearest us has been on the blink for several years.
Can't we get these things fixed?

The campground was pretty empty in September. Bathrooms hadn’t been cleaned. I camped once during the week and no one else was there, and then camped again on the weekend and there were overnight party people. Never saw a host either time, even within stated host days/hours.
Check site stats carefully, as some are too small or slanted for tents.

Stayed in site 26. Plenty of room and nice view of the trees and birds across the little valley. Will plan another trip to kayak on the resevoir.

Quiet, one-night stay in Site 17, which was not quite level, but didn't require blocks for our 23' RV. Great view overlooking Black Butte Lake. Birds, including raptors, seen in abundance. Bathroom (with shower) could have been cleaner.
