Pinnacles Campground offers a well-maintained and clean environment with excellent amenities, including a pool, showers, and a well-stocked store. Visitors enjoy the stunning night skies, abundant wildlife, and various hiking opportunities, making it a favorite destination for families. However, be cautious of aggressive raccoons and potential noise disturbances during the night, as well as the early pool closing time.

The site was perfect (66C) for looking up to see condors and turkey vultures later in the day. It also provided enough privacy from neighboring sites which were full during my visit. Don't miss out on the caves if they are open. For all the days I was there, I was the first one at any trailhead starting ~7 AM. Areas got a lot more busy and it was hard to find parking when I hiked out in the afternoon.

This was quite a bit more expensive than a typical NP campground due to private ownership, so I expected nicer facilities. Bathroom cleanliness was okay but not great. The showers are free despite their pre arrival email confusion. Firewood was $20 so we skipped doing one. Most disappointing was the pool being closed and still not planning to open for several more weeks, even though the website stated 4/1 open pending weather. There seemed to be a maintenance problem and the whole area was overgrown with weeds. It just didn't look like a priority. Unfortunately it was super hot two of the days we were camping - I'm sure plenty of folks would have loved to get in the pool. This is the main reason we stayed.

Beautiful place, clean campgrounds, really friendly people at both the camp store and the gift shop. And seeing condors in the wild! I will definitely come back!

Aside from our terrible allergies, the campground was terrific. Nice sized spaces. Electrical work well. Would like a water fill station on the correct fill side. The store stocked all the right stuff. Showers were awesome! Next time hoping the pool will be open. Thank you NPS!

Spacious campground with free showers accessible. Close to the trailhead. I do wish the pool had been open, but I suppose we were there somewhat early in the season still.

On Saturday the bathrooms near us were out of order. They were closed all that night and into the next day. Every single toilet was out of order. There are not enough toilets and bathrooms for the campground. At a minimum there should be portapotties placed near the bathrooms for when such emergencies occur.

Desperate need for Porto-potties! On our second night in the C loop the C loop bathroom was flooded with overflow from all 6 toilets. The only other options were a long walk away — much further than I experienced at all other nat’l park campgrounds I’ve stayed at for 30+ years

Free shower facilities, 30m of free wifi each day, convenient shuttles (when parking fills up before 9am), and a small private alcove beneath an oak tree attached to our campsite to relax under during the hottest part of the day? Perfect! Plus the check-in process was easy and water spigots and bathrooms easy to access. Campers were really respectful of the 10pm quiet and lights-out rules in the campsite as well.
Most parking spots are pretty exposed so just make sure your electronics and food will be OK in the sunny car all day!
