About Meadowview Campground

IMPORTANT CAMPGROUND UPDATE— RESERVATIONS REQUIREDBeginning Summer 2026, ALL CAMPSITES at Meadowview Campground will require advance reservations during peak season.Peak Season: Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day WeekendThese sites were previously first-come, first-served and will no longer be available without a reservation during this time period.Please plan ahead to secure your site.Meadowview campground is located by Pinecrest Lake, just 30 miles east of Sonora, at an elevation of 5600 feet. The area includes a day-use beach and a marina, a small shopping center and Coffee Shop. The campground caters to all ages and is within walking distance of the lake, an amphitheater, visitor center, swimming beach and spectacular hiking trails. Meadowview offers a variety of tent, trailer, and RV camping with access to all the fishing, hiking, swimming, paddling and everything else that Pinecrest Lake is famous for. The area is mostly forested and each site has a paved parking pad, picnic table, and fire ring.Pets are welcome, but must be compliant with Tuolumne County leash laws and never be left unattended.

It was a nice quiet chill place to go camping. The only think is that there is NO SHoWERS! So just be ready to stay stinky for day or days .

Went on Father's day weekend. A quiet relaxing camping experience it was not, the area was hopping with people up from the valley. The campground itself is great, things settled down in the evening. Great scenery, super friendly camp host, and the store just a mile away is convenient if you are there for a longer stay. Restrooms very clean.

Much less crowded than Pinecrest campground. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. They came up and blocked one way traffic for our friends to get out of a trailer camping spot that faced the wrong way for backing in and getting out entry.

Very quiet at night too. We will return especially now that you can reserve some of the sights ahead of time

Leave Site Clean And Free Of Debris.Reservations: Will Be Checked Into Reserved Site at 2 P.M.Walk-Up Reservations: Select From Available Posted Sites Only. Do Not Register For Occupied Sites.Failure To Register/Pay Within 30 Minutes May Result In Fines And/Or Eviction.Your Official Receipt Must Be Completely Filled Out And Posted At Your Campsite Available For Inspection.Your Campsite Must Be Occupied (Slept In) The First Night; Camping Gear (Tent, RV) Must Stay Set Up To Show Your Site Is Occupied.
