What Guests Are Saying
Meadowview Campground is praised for its spacious sites, beautiful natural surroundings, and convenient location near Pinecrest Lake, making it a great choice for families and groups. The addition of a reservation system has improved organization, and many campers appreciate the clean facilities and friendly staff. However, concerns about noisy neighbors, restroom maintenance, and rule enforcement have been noted, indicating areas for improvement in the overall camping experience.

Great campground, close proximity to pinecrest lake. Well shaded sites, and leveled ground. Neighbors are relatively close to some of the sites. Make sure to do your research on time of visit, did not realize there was a summer camp behind the 300 sites. Loud music and commotion throughout the day and night.

A real failure of maintenance across both Meadowview and Pinecrest campgrounds. Bathroom lights are out, sinks don't work or run continuously, toilets broken and not repaired. Real shame to see such a beautiful campground not maintained in the way it should be, with even minimal maintenance.

402, excellent site for a 30’ travel trailer. Kids had a blast and the new community center behind us was a nice addition to grab some coffee and small bites.

Loud music after 10pm and your crazy uncle yelling in camp = not cool. But otherwise, good camping for families that might need running water and flush toilets. Plenty of other campgrounds in the Stanislaus if the lake camps are sold out.

This was our first visit to Meadowview Campground and we loved it. The facilities were clean-ish, but what we loved most was having all the big trees and forest all around the sites. Definitely go for a perimeter site, as they are very spacious and have more privacy. Can't wait to go back.

Extremely large campsites (to the point that hosts can considering increasing the max-allowed limit), well-maintained bathrooms, and well-monitored camp. The hosts enforce noise constraints. They sell firewood at the hosts' tent.
Some noise from the nearby highway, but you hear it only at night and only if you focus.
Nit: bathroom lights were not working during our stay, but it's fixable and okay.

Campsites were great, nice big sites that are well maintained. Clean bathrooms, several potable water spigots nearby to get water, however a utility sink to wash dishes would be nice as there was no designated area to clean dishes. Bear boxes were nice to store our food. Great location, close to Pinecrest lake and all of its amenities while being a little further away and therefore quiet. We enjoyed watching a movie at the amphitheater. Overall we had a really great experience and will be back.

We were camping with 2-4 year olds. They typically go to bed around 8. Unfortunately, people throughout the campground were running around and yelling very loudly and keeping the kids awake until around 10. I understand there is some game campers are now playing that they keep yelling “Elmer”. I’m sure this is fun for many, but we go camping to enjoy the peace of nature. We were trying to still enjoy ourselves with some sleep deprived children. I would like to see this game banned and the quiet hours changed to 8pm.
