Great little spot right next to some beautiful views. Water hook up was interesting as we had to extend our hose >70’ to hook it up. We just filled the fresh water and called it a day. Stayed on the north side which was good for us cause our camper is a long boy(42’) to try to get into that turn area for the south one, we did not even try to take it to the dump station. The only thing I’d remark on truly is the exit; we had to turn left to go right as it’s on a bit of an incline and we have a drop frame in the back. Still would absolutely stay again.

Showers were closed, rest rooms closed, Dump station also not in service. This has been an on going problem for around a year. What does the maintenance department do. This problem is from a lack of poor management. In the real world heads would roll. Get off your Butts and fix these problems. People pay to camp, fish and picnic here. All we ask is for a clean rest rooms to use , why are we being charged to come here and you provide us Nothing.

This place has incredible potential. Being here in the spring, it was breathtaking with green grass, snow on the mountain tops and on a reservoir. But there are a couple of problems. First, we reserved a site with electric and water, but when we arrived, we were told the water spigot was 150 ft away. Seriously? Fortunately, the camp host helped us find a spot with water at least within 50 ft. Next, most of the sites - on the north side of the campground - were not level. So our 43 ft motorhome was difficult to level. Neighbors in larger class A vehicles, had their front wheels off the ground. Next, the dump station was not working and there was no plan on when it would. It had been unavailable for the previous 2 weeks and still no idea. Lastly, this complaint is about the campers. Easter weekend was the weekend prior to our arrival and our campsite was trashed with broken egg shells, confetti, mylar and so on. This was also in other sites nearby. On the weekends, get ready for parties that get loud after dark, even though quiet hours are after 8pm. We are full time RVers, and this last point is nationwide, especially since Covid. The problem is dog owners. Very few people pick up after their dogs and this park is no exception. The lack of personal responsibility and etiquette seems to be leaving the camping world quickly. One last point - there is a gravel pit just to the east (nearly on the same property) and when they load trucks, it is loud and usually early. Would we return? Probably not which is a pity given the location, view and cost. Sequoia National Park is only an hour north and Sequoia National Forest is just up the road. Out of all the Army Corps of Engineer locations we've stayed, this is the poorest managed.

Scenic level site. Both campground hosts are so nice and helpful. They both know about all the campsites. Would definitely stay at Lake Success again.

This is a very nice campground and I will return. I gave 4 stars and not five because on arrival my site was very dirty the fire pit had trash in it, cans, a 1/2 full jug of milk and so on. The campsite overall was littered with the left overs of Easter. The wonderfull host did come over with a blower and cleaned off most of the litter, I cleaned the fire pit.
The dump station was out of service and I had to go elswhere and pay $20.00 to the outfit up the road but that said it was some miscreant that tossed there cloths down the pipe at the dump and plugged things up.
Did I say the host was graet as well as the rangers.
Good job

We had a great time ! The weather was comfortable. The camp hosts were great and gave us a heads up when there was a problem with the dump station. One word of advice would be to bring an extra water hose as the water bibs in Tule North sites can be quite a ways from your site. Nice affordable place to camp !

I Love this Camp grounds. Great price only$20 dollars a day. 8 people 2 cars. Hot showers for free. Really hot. The best showers we have used out of many campsites we've been to. They do not allow any type of tree tents. We got shut down. That's OK though. The lake is just a short walk away. Restrooms are clean. No electrical outlets wich is fine by me. Different sites have arbors some don't. Fire pits in every site. Great Camping for a 1st time family. All around I give it a 8 out if 10.
