Just about every site has lots of open sky for great solar and satellite. The lake is low and quite a walk from the CG so we didn't hike down to it. The restrooms work, good pressure and temperature on the showers. But they're not well cleaned. You can see where when they are mopped and the dirt just gets pushed to the walls. Trash on the floor. Plumbing leaks and they're showing their age. Graffiti etched into walls and dividers. Park is very unsafe, no police presence or enforcement rangers. Hosts were nice, they came around and gave us our parking pass when we arrived. Check in office was closed. Park road is one way, come in and go to the right for all sites. Watch for signs telling you where to turn as the signs are small. There is a visitors center back down the road as you come in. The sign says open 9-4 but it was never open when we were here. There are some trails but they are poorly marked, if at all. There was a hike to a bridge that started in the group area, but it was 8 miles round trip so we only went part way.

Stayed 4 days. The bathroom and showers were well kept. The rangers were great. Walked a nice trail. The lake was very low and had algae warnings which worried me as I had my dog with me. Reception was garbage there and the surrounding areas, but I guess that’s not why you go. Not many services nearby, so bring everything. I would definitely go back though.

Loved the wildlife. Saw some wild turkeys, quail, and a doe. The water was a little low but still managed to land 3 bass. Catch and release, of course. Would recommend going in the spring, when everything is green and beautiful.

We had a good time. The site is large with plenty of room for tents and rvs. We appreciated the many trash cans and water faucets, although it would have been nice to have a water faucet near the picnic shelter. The bathroom was close by and shared by the 3 group sites, the womens shower drain was backed up. The weather was great. The lake water level was very low.
