Sycamore Grove Campground offers a beautiful, well-maintained setting with green grass, spacious sites, and clean bathrooms, including coin-operated showers. Many guests appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and friendly camp hosts, making it a great stop for travelers. Sycamore campground was a great place to stay for the night. They have green grass, spacious sites, quiet atmosphere, clean bathrooms, coin showers, and payment was easy through Recreation.gov.

This camp spot (#17) was my first stay on the inner circle. I liked the hookups, site location and shade.
It was a fine stay, with exception of other campers loud profane music, which caused the campers to yell at each other over music volume. There is a lot of foot traffic thru #17, it's a shortcut to the bathroom, be prepared.
The actual campground bathroom has flush toilets, running water at a sink, and the best part... it has showers. You plunk quarters into the meter... bring your own quarters. I appreciated the shower bench and dual head faucets in the ADA shower.
Hosts are friendly enough. I know there is a huge amount of work to maintain the grounds, maybe they need an extra person. They do work hard, but man those toilets, ugh!
The three of the pit toilets need attention badly. Usually only 1 of two are unlocked for use. The smell from these pit toilets is so bad, I quit visiting day use for a time. I was overpowered with hot toilet smell, and found it unpleasant even at the picnic tables.
All the pits need service to empty the contents. Very desperately. There has been feces around the first day use toilet for dayyys. Just my opinion,. Bathrooms are important for every one. Every day. Cleanliness is huge in such an enclosed space. Please consider help, if even only for bathroom duty. The park is beautiful but the pit toilets do not reflect the passion of care this recreation area deserves.
