We stayed here on our way to Yosemite this year, then on our way home afterwards. Both stays were great. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. Also, the campground was not densely populated.
We would recommend staying there if you’re in the area. Reasonable rates.

Just one night camping so no activities for me - campsite had plenty of room, picnic table, fire pit, bbq and plenty of shade - hot shower for 25 cents ! Camp Host John was very friendly and very helpful

Nice to have a quiet spot near but away from I5. The river cooled things down considerably. General 24hr public access to the boat launch, parking and picnicking areas made us feel not- quite secure. Differed maintenance is evident.

Bathrooms were clean. The campground is beautiful with plenty of shade trees. Quiet and peaceful. A perfect stop over for our trip.

The campground was comfortable. The road in was very rough. It was not crowded, which was nice. I love the pull-through design.

The campground had a dingy appearance and feel. While the coin-operated shower was a useful amenity, the water pressure and spray pattern were disappointing. The staff, however, was friendly and welcoming.

Getting There
From Interstate 5 at Red Bluff, take Antelope Boulevard east for about a quarter-mile. Turn right (south) on Sale Lane continue for approximately 3 mi to the Red Bluff Recreation Area entrance gate. Continue on that road until you get to the Sacra...
From Interstate 5 at Red Bluff, take Antelope Boulevard east for about a quarter-mile. Turn right (south) on Sale Lane continue for approximately 3 mi to the Red Bluff Recreation Area entrance gate. Continue on that road until you get to the Sacramento River Discovery Center than turn left. The campground entrance is aproximately 600 ft. down on the right.
Policies & Rules
Arrival & departure
- The campground features an electronic gate with set closing and opening times.
- For reservations or changes, call the provided phone number.
- Late check-outs are not allowed; guests must leave by the specified time.
Safety & rules
- Stay is limited to 14 consecutive days, followed by a 16-day absence before returning; a maximum of 28 days is allowed in a year.
- There is no designated swimming area; swimming is at your own risk.
Pets
- Dog owners must clean up after their pets using provided bags, or face a fine.
- A maximum of 2 dogs per campsite, and they must be leashed.
Amenities
- Showers require quarters for operation; no change is provided on-site.
Utilities
- There is no dump station available at the campground.
Fires & fuel
- Do not move firewood; buy it locally and burn it on-site to protect forests.
