Facilities were good, quiet spot, friendly host. They only accept online reservations, which comes with an extra fee.

This is a lovely campground and the host was so friendly and helpful in finding a shadier spot than the one I had booked. I’m so grateful she pointed out the botanical garden to me, which I thoroughly enjoyed walking through.

Clean bathrooms, hot showers, and plenty of birds and butterflies to enjoy watching. We had a great trip. We stayed for a few days because of the ability to hike and paddle in several areas nearby.

Great campground, well cared maintained. Clean restrooms and showers. Hosts are attentive and friendly. The only thing lacking is a dump station!

Reasonable spot, but would get whiffs of the stinky pit toilet from the site at times.

Decent place to spend a night. Spot was somewhat level. The area where picnic table sat was weeds. The host campsite looks very in professional. I’m guessing they are never checked on

Getting There
From Interstate 5 at Red Bluff, take Antelope Boulevard east for about a quarter-mile. Turn right (south) on Sale Lane continue for approximately 3 mi to the Red Bluff Recreation Area entrance gate. Continue on that road until you get to the Sacra...
From Interstate 5 at Red Bluff, take Antelope Boulevard east for about a quarter-mile. Turn right (south) on Sale Lane continue for approximately 3 mi to the Red Bluff Recreation Area entrance gate. Continue on that road until you get to the Sacramento River Discovery Center than turn left. The campground entrance is aproximately 600 ft. down on the right.
Policies & Rules
Arrival & departure
- The campground features an electronic gate with set closing and opening times.
- For reservations or changes, call the provided phone number.
- Late check-outs are not allowed; guests must leave by the specified time.
Safety & rules
- Stay is limited to 14 consecutive days, followed by a 16-day absence before returning; a maximum of 28 days is allowed in a year.
- There is no designated swimming area; swimming is at your own risk.
Pets
- Dog owners must clean up after their pets using provided bags, or face a fine.
- A maximum of 2 dogs per campsite, and they must be leashed.
Amenities
- Showers require quarters for operation; no change is provided on-site.
Utilities
- There is no dump station available at the campground.
Fires & fuel
- Do not move firewood; buy it locally and burn it on-site to protect forests.
