Maybe the time of year, but there was no host and some questionable unattended tents. The sight we reserved was too small to stay connected with RV; more information on the website would have helped. Moved to a larger site but no utility hookups.

Campground is part of a local park on River, so there is vehicle traffic, including boat launches. I wouldn’t stay here on weekend nights. But, for a 1 night stop it was ok. Bathrooms weren’t that great; need quarters. There are camp hosts. There looked to be permanent campers closest to river…Some sites have electric and others don’t; generator noise was loud.
It’s a great locals park for walking dogs, viewing birds on trails. Some locals let their dogs off leash, which of course isn’t allowed. There’s always people who feel entitled to break the regulations ruining it for those who choose to peacefully cohabitate.

Perhaps it was the slow day, but we very much enjoyed the quiet of the park. This was our last day of the 3-day return trip and it was just what was needed. Clean restrooms.

Sycamore Grove campground is a favorite place to stop for the night on my drive between Oregon and San Diego. Quick and easy access from I-5, but far enough so that traffic noise is not an issue. The hosts do a great job of maintaining the campground.
