What Guests Are Saying
Sycamore Grove Campground offers a beautiful, well-maintained setting with green grass, spacious sites, and clean bathrooms, including coin-operated showers. Many guests appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and friendly camp hosts, making it a great stop for travelers. However, some concerns were raised about noisy campers, the condition of pit toilets, and occasional issues with camp host interactions. Overall, it's considered a lovely place to relax and enjoy nature, especially for short stays.

Very quiet but locals using campground without reservations. Saw a small group using the spigots to bathe in and then used a neighboring electrical campsite to charge their phones. Saw some urinating in bushes as they did not have access to secured bathroom.
Did not feel very safe. Camp host was aware they were there as she was out watering grass with hose and ignored them.
Also, trash in campsite and glass bottles had to be picked up when arrived.

A nice quiet campground I stayed at for 3 nights prior to Yosemite. The trails were good and has a boat ramp if you like to fish.

Great place for a quick overnighter. Showers are great and camp host also great. Don’t expect to swim though, the river is quite a hike from the campground.

Nice quiet campground we pulled into for the night while in route going from WA to Southern CA. Everything clean and well maintained. Will come again.

Was awakened at 1 am by an abandoned woman the first night. Showers were out of order the second night. Homeless people were hanging around the bathrooms and bothering campers for the door code.

This has long been a favorite park of ours for several reasons. The campsites are slightly more dispersed so campers don't feel stacked up like cord wood. The park is predominately designed for tent and van campers with just a dozen with electrical service. Most of the park is undeveloped and has multiple hiking and biking trails and the environment along the Sacramento River is pretty well left natural. Except for a tiny museum and an herb garden, there are no structures or any recreational enhancements (eg stores, laundry, playgrounds, etc.)
