Many guests appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and friendly camp hosts, making it a great stop for travelers. Close to Interstate 5, without having to hear traffic all night. Shower felt so good! Close to restaurants and grocery store.

The campground itself is very nice, well groomed and clean. We have stayed here several times over the last 4 years and have noticed an increase in what seems to be homeless camping here. Our first time we stayed here the camp hosts told us that they were cleaning up the homeless camp sites and asking them to leave. Now it seems to be a problem again with homeless campers simply moving from site to site every couple of days. Law enforcement made 3 trips to the campground in one day responding to calls while we were there for our 4 day camp trip. I spoke to one of the deputies and he told me they try to cruise through on a regular basis to show there presence. It seemed to us that at least 50% of the campers there were homeless. The campsites looked very similar to homeless encampments you see on the streets in Sacramento. We will think twice before returning to Sycamore Grove campground in the future.
