Very nice place, the camp host very friendly and helpful, even on his only "day off". Right near the water and a good walking/biking path. Also a nature walking area.

Just off of Interstate - easy access. Sites fine - well loved. Boat ramp but too swift for canoe/kayak/swim. Hiking trails & wildflower garden. Fine for night or two.

Camping at SG is nice. You have lots of space to set up your camp 🏕 and your tables, etc. i liked how the showers and bathrooms were opened this time. You cannot swim in the river because it is too cold, but you can do fishing. We also explored Burney Falls and Whiskeytown Lake.

I stayed in site 15. A pull through site. I have a long bed Ram crew cab with a 28' 5th-wheel and fit with out any problems. I didn't unhook my trailer as I was just stopping for the night as this camp ground was ½ way to my destination up in Oregon.
The camp ground was very clean and not a lot of people there. Probably because it was 104° when I got there. But it made for a convenient stopover. I'll probably stay there again if I find myself passing by again.
