What Guests Are Saying
Hayward Flat Campground offers a beautiful setting with stunning lake views and clean, well-kept campsites, making it a great destination for families and outdoor enthusiasts. Many visitors enjoyed kayaking and appreciated the peaceful atmosphere, with some noting the campground's proximity to trails. However, there were concerns about restroom cleanliness and maintenance, as well as issues with overcrowding and bee activity. Overall, while there are areas for improvement, many campers expressed a desire to return for the natural beauty and recreational opportunities.

Wonderful campground! Went with a big group of teens and had a great time! Was able to rent kayaks from a spot a few miles down the road and launch them from the campsite straight into the water. Lake is gorgeous with beautiful red sand. Campsite was clean and nice and we went unbothered and enjoyed our stay.

It would be nice if when you show up to your campsite nobody is parked in your campsite. Not only were they parked in the campsite but not around to move the vehicle for three hours.
Those who are hired to clean the restrooms, only change the toilet paper did not clean or empty the garbage can in the women’s

Very disappointed to see 90% of trees in the campground are slated to be removed this year. The landscape of the campground will not only be changed, but the respite from the sun will no longer be provided
I am sad to say, after 50 years of camping in the same campsite, we will no longer be making memories here
