The noisiest campground I’ve ever been to. It’s right next to a busy highway, there are tons of people on weekends, and the quiet hours aren’t enforced. Multiple campsites played music all day long up to 1 AM and the camp hosts didn’t really care. Also not ideal for enjoying nature, it is very dry in summer and there’s not much wildlife activity, probably due to pressure from too many people frequenting the area. I would rate this as the worst campground I’ve ever been to. The only thing that saved this trip was the nearby river. Hopefully your experience will be better, or you don’t mind noisy/busy campgrounds but I’m leaving this review here for people that are seeking a more quiet and peaceful experience.

I stayed at area 013 at Los Prietos. Amazing campground. It's so close to the white rock river/creek--you could walk there! I would just watch out for the yellow-jackets. Bring a trap--they get vicious. Also, this area is on a slight slope so you'll just have to be strategic about where you set up your tent.

Even in the mid-spring heat at the end of May, this campsite provided an excellent space for shelter. We had access to clean water, firewood, and an adequate bathroom. There was plenty of area to spread out with multiple tents, in addition to setting up a makeshift mess hall. Our group had a wonderful time. The mornings were quiet, peaceful, serene and I enjoyed the company of the birds as the sun came up. Night was cool and quiet. The camp hosts were kind, helpful and friendly!
Close by was the recreation area where we were able to throw out some line and catch a large trout. Some boat traffic, but after we gathered out bearings we found a calm area to do some fishing.
Looking forward to coming back!

From Highway 101 in Santa Barbara, turn east onto Highway 154 and continue about 11 mi. Turn onto Paradise Road and travel about 3 mi to the campground.

Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
