As soon as I entered the campground I slammed into a giant pothole! The bathrooms smelled so bad and there were flies and stains. Host was off-duty. This campground doesn't have much privacy. The spot I picked was in the middle of an open field with a few trees. I just had a weird vibe upon arriving not sure if it was me or the other campers. There was decent amount of shade. Lots of holes in the ground from the squirrels. I ended up booking one of the local hostels and had a really good time. I tried to cancel but it showed an error message. Wasn't expecting much of a refund and I am happy you all are getting the $$. I was able to show back up for the day and use the picnic table and restrooms while I visited the river.

The campsite was quiet and relaxing. From our tent the sky was beautiful with stars. The bathrooms are clean a little far depending on your spot.
The walk to the river is short and worth the walk. You have to be careful, so many gopher holes you can twist an ankle. Can’t wait to go back.

We drove into the campsite and it was in very poor condition. The roads were rutted and the campsite we had selected we could not back into. We decided it wasn’t worth the effort to try to stay there. This is the first USFS campground we have ever walked away from. We did not even try to get a refund.
The campground host did call when we did not stay. We simply told her we changed plans. It is not her fault that the campground is poor.
