The Campground is really easy to find which is nice. It's also a 25min Drive from Lake Cachuma. We took the kids there to Lake Cachuma for a dip in the pool, which was a nice amenity to have close by. There are no stores close by. You'll have to drive into the city in order to replenish supplies if you need too. There are a lot of bugs, But nothing that really bites. More Creepy Crawly doods but they just make you more situationally aware. I do love that its in an Oak Grave so your camp fires burn hot and long, you also get a nice flavor for any Asada's (Grilling) that you do. I recommend bringing a shovel so you can clean out the Fire pits, The Camp Host doesn't do it. I just dug a deep hole near by and dumped it all in there and covered it up.
At night it does get a bit noisy since it's really close to a main road but I wasn't to bothered by it. Also make sure you keep your food and stuff in a Sterilite container, The Raccoons are advantageous and will eat anything thats left out on the table. I'll admit that was my own fault for not thinking about that prior to going to sleep.

We loved our time at this campground! 4 friends were only able to make it to the campground when it was already dark and past 9 o’clock but it was easy to navigate and no fuss coming and going as we pleased. We woke up and found our camp ground spot perched on a little hill, under a lovely canopy of tree cover. Overall, quiet, peaceful, very convenient to access the Red Rock Pools, and not far from Santa Barbara either!

Great area with lots of shade and large campsites. 2nd year in a row - we love going camping here and heading to the beach/pier for the day!
