What Guests Are Saying
Sage Hill is a spacious campsite ideal for large groups, accommodating up to 59 people with ample amenities like picnic tables and a big fire pit. The camp host provides excellent service, and the location offers great hiking and proximity to a river for fun activities. However, restroom cleanliness needs improvement, and some facilities require maintenance, but overall, visitors express a strong desire to return.

We paid 400.00+ for a group site and could not attend our 2019 Thanksgiving reservation because of the Cave Fire in Santa Barbra. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/11/26/us/cave-fire-santa-barbara.html
Recreasion.gov refused a refund 3 times.

We ended up having a smaller group than expected at this group campsite but had a blast nonetheless. Lots of picnic table space, water access, and our own flush toilets. We brought lawn type games and had a lot of fun using all the open space.
We didn’t do any hikes and the SY River was dry (early Oct) but we had a nice morning stroll up the dry creek bed as far as we could go. I appreciated the rangers stopping by, we bought a bundle or two of firewood from them.
Great site for groups, would love to camp again.

Amazing group campsite! However there is no onsite store for firewood.

Great group campsites. We had reserved 2 sites, but only one bathroom was open unlocked. It could have been cleaner.
