What Guests Are Saying
Dinkey Creek offers a beautiful natural setting with excellent hiking opportunities and friendly camp hosts who provide helpful service. The campground is well-maintained, and many visitors appreciate the spacious campsites and clean facilities. However, issues such as the lack of functioning flush toilets and potable water have caused some inconveniences, alongside noise from generators and nearby campers. Overall, many families enjoy returning to this campground for its charm and the memorable experiences it provides.

Have used this campground for about 30 years. The last time last year was the first time I have ever had to deal with cattle in the camping area. Cow pies in the camp site with grandkids is not good. The water running out at the end of the camping season is becoming more frequently and needs to be addressed. Now that the dead trees have been removed it would be nice to see the roads in the campground fixed
This is and has been a great area to experience the outdoors with my family.
Thanks for letting me share my thoughts with you.

Solid campground. Highly recommend. There are many large trees (a majority of them have recovered from the bark beetle issue from a few years ago) and there is a decent amount of shade. There is a cool abandoned mill town nearby. Dinkey creek is directly adjacent.

A STUNNINGLY beautiful location to camp. The creek is out-of-this-world kind of beauty.

Good - campground was fairly empty so that was nice for my wife & I.
Bad - campsite we reserved online was terrible regarding parking my 25’ travel trailer. There was a huge tree near the entry that made backing in a nightmare. There should’ve been a warning / restriction noted on your reservation website that this site isn’t accessible to 25’ and > trailers. I have RV’d for 15 years and this site took everything I had to make it work!!!!! Please have your employees check the site I used at Dinkey Creek CA campground (I don’t remember which site it was now - you can look it up) and update your reservation description. Thank you.

Clean campground with beautiful views if you pick the right spot. Nice places to walk, which is good because most of the bathrooms seemed to be closed for maintenance so I had plenty of opportunity to explore to find open ones. I imagine this might have been because it was in September, the end of the season, but it seemed excessive and there wasn't an explanation given and the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5.

Dinkey Creek campground is our favorite mountain campground. Camp hosts are always helpful and friendly. Would really help RVers if there were some "hookups" available. Make "loop" roads a little wider and remove posts to make backing in easier. Have camped here for many years , the flush CXT's and paved campsites were a big improvement.
