What Guests Are Saying
Dinkey Creek offers a beautiful natural setting with excellent hiking opportunities and friendly camp hosts who provide helpful service. The campground is well-maintained, and many visitors appreciate the spacious campsites and clean facilities. However, issues such as the lack of functioning flush toilets and potable water have caused some inconveniences, alongside noise from generators and nearby campers. Overall, many families enjoy returning to this campground for its charm and the memorable experiences it provides.

It would be nice to be notified that the flushing toilets were not functioning beforehand. Also the outside lights at the restroom s are way too bright. It also didn't seem like anyone cleaned out fire pits. Ours had plastic trash in it. That stuff shouldn't even be burned. The natural surroundings were excellent as usual.

Beautiful campground and everything was very easy. Only minor inconvenience was the use of Porto-potties instead of real bathrooms.

The space we got was easily accessible, near the bathrooms which was great. The hiking within walking distance made for a lot of exploring and beautiful views.

The camp host was great, i fell into the honey moon pool and dropped my keys in. The camp host helped and enlisted someone to help retrieve it from the water. Met some regular campers that frequent there yearly and they were very kind and helpful. Great clean site. Enjoyed my night there.

Definitely not a place to go if you’re looking for peace and quiet. We listened to generators off and on most of the day, The old RV gen next to us, was so loud, we had to leave camp for a couple hours every time they started it. And then had multiple people playing loud music, and also barking dogs excessively. Most other camp grounds have designated generator hours, and camp hosts that will tell people to turn down their music and stop dog barking and….WITHOUT HAVING TO COMPLAIN!

We had a great time camping at Dinkey Creek! Reservations were easy to make online. Check in was easy. The park ranger on the days we were there was great! If I recall correctly, his name is Jason. He was very helpful and personable. This last visit, we were in the B Loop. We were near the Dinkey Creek General Store, which the grandson loved! Our space (002) was of generous size and had shade. Water, dumpsters and flush potties were all within a short walking distance.

My family and I enjoyed our experience at Dinkey. The views, the hikes and the fresh air! It was all refreshing. Need to go back soon.

The host were very friendly and helpful. Please be aware at Dinkey Creek pools the rocks are extremely slippery. Make sure you have some rubber on your feet. We saw many accidents. The fire almost closed the campground and the air quality wasn't great because of the smoke but luckily the local area was sparred.

Beautiful campground. You can hike to the old Mill town. Go to the river or head to Shaver Lake.
