What Guests Are Saying

East Meadow Campground offers a beautiful and peaceful location with well-maintained sites and easy access to the lake, making it ideal for swimming and paddle boarding. However, recent issues with water availability and restroom closures have impacted the overall experience, along with concerns about noise and site management due to the absence of a camp host. While many campers appreciate the campground's charm and atmosphere, consistent maintenance and communication about amenities are needed for improvement.

We were notified in advance that we were not allowed to have camp fires - understandable. When we got there there was NO water. Understand we are in a drought, however we should have been notified of this as well. NO access to water of any kind. We would have done/packed/prepared SO differently had we known there was not going to be flush toilets', water for dishes, etc....

We had a few nights at our favorite campsite but were very disappointed. The previous visitor destroyed a large tree in the site. My guess is they broke firewood against it's bark and horribly wounded the tree. When I mentioned this to the host I got the feeling she couldn't care less. I also thought off-road vehicles were not permitted. Well that wasn't being enforced either. There were many, and they did not make any attempt to drive in and out of the campground quietly. Needlessly revving engines and exiting under full power. I don't want to sound like a grouch but our experience was bad. Please talk with the host or find one who cares about more than the paycheck. Thankyou

The camp host was wonderful. She brought our kids glow sticks each night. She helped them carry firewood to our camp when we sent them to buy it from her. She was just kind and friendly. Thanks for a fun weekend!

Camp host was excellent and friendly. Site next to us packed up Saturday night and didn't put their fire out before they left. Other than that a great weekend with good neighbors.
