What Guests Are Saying
Upper Little Truckee campground is well-regarded for its clean facilities, including spotless bathrooms, and a friendly camp host, Vern, who goes above and beyond to enhance visitors' experiences. The campground offers spacious sites and is close to a lovely creek, ideal for relaxation and hiking. However, some guests noted the noise from nearby Highway 89 and inaccuracies in online maps, as well as a lack of hosts on-site for assistance.

The host Vern is awesome and he keeps the place spotless. I had driven past this campground for years and have to say the hwy is very noisy and it really takes away from the experience.

Very friendly host, bathrooms were clean. The site is very close to the road and traffic honks their horns at all times of day and night. I would be worried about kids and pets with how close that road is.

Quiet, clean, and a helpful camp host - it was a really nice trip. We'll definitely stay there again. :)

Campground and restrooms are clean, spaced just far enough apart. River was high so hard to fish, and weather was very windy and cold. I think I’m good whether this would be a real nice place to camp. Host was friendly and helpful, but left us alone enough so we could enjoy

sure, site 020 is near the bathroom but not TOO near the bathroom. sure, the campground is near the highway but not TOO near the highway. the area is very nice and there's even a trail that goes along the river connecting upper and lower campgrounds.

Mark is the man! I called and picked his brain about a trip to the area with a lot of questions and he was beyond helpful. I definitely owe him a beer.
