We love camping at Fallen Leaf Lake. Many of the sites are fairly large and the bathrooms are always clean. We love being able to walk/hike to many lakes and our black lab does as well.

Had a nice time…..fine Sierra weather….good runoff with lots of snow leftover. Shower hot water was up to 99 - 100 degrees from past years where it was tepid at most. Lots of freaking generators with no regulation. Sad. Campground hosts do a nice job keeping the sites and bathrooms tidy.

We stayed this campground 2 nights. Location is away from main town which I really liked. Quiet and peaceful. Bathroom and hot shower are pretty clean. Black bear walked by around 1AM next to our site. Don't leave any foods! The rangers here were so nice and friendly. Really loved the beautiful lake you can walk by like 10 min from campground. I will definitely go back again.

Spacious site, close to bike trail which was primary criteria for picking location. Host staff told we had bear visitors mid day Saturday but all eatables were in bear locker (don’t forget to put your food away as bears extremely active in the area) and we were out biking so never saw one.

We’ve tent camped for many years. This was our first time at Fallen Leaf Lake. It is now our #1 camping spot!! Loved the easy accessibility to bike trails and hiking. Campsites were large and allowed plenty of space to spread out. We will be back!!!

I've been going to this campground for many years and have always had a very nice experience. Unfortunately, this past time I had to camp next to some young 20 something year old campers that were pretty inconsiderate and partied with loud talking and laughing until 1:30 am. When I found out they extended their stay another night, I had to go to the camp host and asked to be moved. The host was very gracious and understanding explaining that I was not the first to complain about those campers. He put me in an emergency site away from the campers and then talked to them reminding them of the quiet hours. My second night there was much more peaceful and quiet and I appreciate the help of the host. Overall, it's a beautiful campground, clean and usually very quiet.
